This term, we are learning about forces and energy through science investigations. We will also be learning about light, sound, electricity and magnetism. We will have lots of fun designing and making our own pull-along cars and trying them out in investigations.
We will write diaries about our visit to the park and create instructions and explanations for our science investigations.
Each term, we have learnt about different types of poems. This term, we will learn about question and answer poetry, creating some of our own poems too.
In numeracy and maths, we are building on our knowledge of measurement through mass, length, capacity and temperature. We will be learning about financial literacy through shopping activities.
We will be learning about stories in the Bible, such as Jonah and the Whale, Moses and the Burning Bush and Noah. We will also be learning about Islam and hopefully we will visit a Mosque. We will be writing prayers too!
Our sports week will be an exciting time for us in June. We will be learning to challenge and improve our skills in different activities. We will record our efforts and share our books with you when we bring them home.
In ICT / DCF we are learning about algorithms and how we can create algorithms using programmable toys and games on the computers.

This term we are learning all about the Celts and Romans and they made a difference in Wales. We will be learning about how they lived, what they ate, the clothes that they wore and the jobs they did. We will be having a Celtic workship to learn about the Celts in Wales and we will be visiting Caerleon to find out all about the Romans. We will be writing diaries, poems and letters as well as writing an historical story.
Later in the term we will be celebrating St David’s Day and having celebrations and competitions in readiness for the Eisteddfod. We will be holding class collective worships all about our rights as well as joining classes for our Easter service.
In expressive arts we are exploring 2D and 3D landscapes whilst thinking about the beauty of Wales. We will be creating multimedia presentations using lots of our IT skills.

After learning about healthy and less healthy food, we made choices on a healthy recipe. We wanted to make a healthy flapjack for granny.
If you went down to the woods today, you’d be sure of a big surprise! We had such an amazing day! We put on our capes and hats and went in the woods, We let our imagination go wild as we walked. We had story time and did some drama about the story of Little Red Riding. And of course, we had time to play and see the amimals.
