When we went to Chepstow Castle, we saw the oldest castle doors in Europe! They were so strong, nobody was ever able to smash their way through. An army had to blow a hole in the wall instead! They were strong because they were built using joints called mortise-and-tenon joints. We knew what we had to do …

We practised meditating using a range of poses. We took our inspiration from Buddhist statues. It's not easy to overcome adversity but sometimes, taking a moment and stepping away from a difficult situation can help.

When we work independently in Cwtch 3, we have a phrase. That phrase is 'Claim the Fame'. It represents a desire to produce the best piece of work that we possibly can. We want 'the fame'. We want to show our work to our friends, we want our work displayed on the wall or in the 'Book of Fame.' We wear the cape of ambition and capability every time we walk towards the next independent activity. Here are just some of the examples of us claiming the fame this year so far...


We read the biography of a real life 'superdad', Mike Young. He invented the character, Superted, because his son was afraid of the dark. We love the fact that this magical bear was invented in Wales!

We were introduced to a new super villain this week: Captain You'llneverdoit! We ignored him and worked really hard to find the mistakes and correct them. Check out some of the problems we've been solving this week ...
