The Senedd is where decisions are made for Bishop Childs.

Committees focus on aspects of life in Bishop Childs.

Both Welsh and English are used in its business.

 

Our goal is to improve our school community.

In October, we  met for the first time. We discussed the school SDP and agreed that the first priority would focus around reading.

Digital Leaders

We emailed the class teachers from Cwtch Derbyn, Un and Dau to find out the children’s favourite story books. We then used this information to create an eBook using Book Creator.

We are working on our second project of the year:

Faith and Values Ambassadors

The faith and values ambassadors have worked hard to make younger children aware of diversity.  We deliberately chose books that made them aware of how are values look in real life, then practised reading them with expression before visiting the foundation classrooms.  

 

Nia at Waterstone's helped us to choose the best books.  Diolch yn fawr!

 

We learned a lot about how to organise things in school.  We needed to email the teachers of the classes we wanted to visit, organise a timetable and learn how to keep young children interested in our stories.  They loved our visits.

We think that everyone would love a treasure hunt.  There's a lot of work needed to organise it, though!
