Clubs and Activities

Choir Club is now open to Cwtch 3! Please contact the school if you wish to sign up.

In Art Club, we have had fun creating knights out of tin foil and other materials along side our topic of ‘Wales long, long ago’.

Gardening club opened with a huge celebration this week as we have been awarded our level one award from the Royal Horticultural Society! We are now following our newly developed action plan to begin growing flowers for spaces across the school and vegetables that can be used by cookery club. Teamwork!

In Choir, we have chosen the songs we want to cover this term by voting for our favourites. We decided upon singing ‘We Don’t Talk About Bruno’ from Encanto and we auditioned for solo parts this week. We are really excited to show off our singing and try some acting in our roles. We have also chosen ‘When I Grow Up’ from Matilda and we are learning some Welsh songs in preparation for Eisteddfod next term.

Choir will be performing two songs for the school Christmas Carol service, ‘Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer’ and ‘Once in Royal David’s City’. We have had a great term learning lots of different Christmas songs and having opportunities to perform.

Choir were invited to sing Christmas carols for the residents at Willowbrook Nursing Home. We had a lovely time singing some songs - especially when some of the residents joined in! Thank you to Willowbrook for inviting us!

Choir have started learning Christmas songs - this week, we practised 'Silent Night'. We have also been designing a logo for Choir to use during performances - we have lots of great designs already!

Our first gardening club session launched with the perfect photo opportunity in our new giant plant pots to introduce our ‘budding’ new members. Year 3 did a fantastic job of welcoming our Year 2 members to KS2. We began with looking at how we can save water while caring for our plants and began making our own compost
