Trip to Bristol Zoo

Summer 1 - Land Ahoy

Our topic this half term is ‘Land Ahoy’. We will be learning about the history of famous pirates, creating and following treasure maps and creating an advert to persuade people to come to a magical island.


P.E. - Monday and Wednesday

To Infinity and Beyond

This half term we will be learning about different places around the world. We will be comparing our locality to others from around the globe! 

Outside physical education this half term will be on a Friday morning. Tom from CCFC will be in to do team and invasion type activities.

Welcome to Year 2.       

This half term our topic will be ' Alive and kicking'. 

During our topic we will be learning about keeping fit and healthy. 


Class information

Monday and Tuesday- Mrs Millington

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday- Mrs Hyett


P.E. Days will be on Tuesday and Wednesday. Children can bring their P.E. kits in a small draw string bag and keep them in their locker. They will bring them home each half term, to be washed and returned to school.


Homework will be set on a Wednesday and should be returned the following Tuesday, to be marked.

Reading books will be changed every Wednesday.

Water challenge Friday 27th April. Year 2 managed to carry 53 and a half litres between them and raised £28.04. Thank-you for your kind donations.


This half term our topic will be 'Land ahoy'. We will be focussing on pirates and adventures.
