Our meetings are at 12:30 on Tuesdays.
Digital Leaders can provide technical help to other pupils or staff in lessons, run training sessions for other pupils, and guide the vision for learning with technology.
Safer Internet Day 2019 will be celebrated globally on Tuesday 5th February with the slogan: ‘Together for a better Internet’.
The day offers the opportunity to highlight positive uses of technology and to explore the role we all play in helping to create a better and safer online community. It calls upon young people, parents, carers, teachers, social workers, law enforcement, companies, policymakers, and wider, to join together and help to create a better internet.
During our first meeting with discussed our role as a Digital Leader and made a list of things we wanted to achieve and do this year.
Daily Roles for Digital Leaders
Give out the iPads/laptops in class.
Collect iPads/laptops in at the end of each lesson and charge.
Help other students during lessons that use technology.
Help and support teachers in using technology in the classroom or in lessons.
Year 6 Extra Roles
Set up Collective Worship.
Train Year 5 pupils how to set up for Collective Worship in the Summer Term.
Set the Agenda for each meeting and type minutes.
What we want to do
Blog about what's happening with technology - use school website.
Test and review new iPad Apps.
Lead or assist in an iPad lunchtime club.
Research and develop the use of new technologies.
Create how-to help guides in Book Creator or using iMovie for different audiences e.g. different classes or Year groups.
Work with Digital Leaders from other schools.
