P.E. for this half term: Team games

Your child will need to bring into school every week a pair of trainers, a yellow P.E. top, joggers or leggings (black or grey) with their name clearly labelled on each item of their clothing.

  • Homework and reading books given out on Wednesday
  • Fruit Trolley - snacks are 20p

Our context for this half term is 'Cold Climates'

 

Literacy:

We will be learning how to write simple sentences. 

We will be learning these sounds blends - 'sh' 'th' 'ch'

Numeracy:

We will be handling flat and solid shapes. 

We will be learning to count in 10s up to 100.

We will be learning how to add and take away numbers to 20.

Personal and Social Development:

We will be finding out about animals in danger in cold places. 

Knowledge and Understanding of the World:

We will be learning how ice melts.

We will be using maps to find the North and South Pole.

 

 


 

We learnt how to make Welsh cakes. They were very tasty!

Our Context for this half term is 'Reflections'

We will be learning to read and spell our tricky words: I, mum, dad, the, and, she, he, we, is, it, is, had.

We will be sharing the story 'Laura's Star' in class.

We will be learning our letter sounds. 

We will be writing our name daily. 

Numeracy:

We will be handling money. 

We will be learning how to add and take away numbers to 20.

Personal and Social Development:

We will be finding out how to be a good friend to others.

Knowledge and Understanding of the World:

We will be sorting materials into different groups.

We will be going on our first class trip into Cardiff to visit the Bear Factory.

Our first trip on a coach this year. Cardiff Bear Factory 7.11.18. Our two new class friends are called Princess Rose and King Thomas.

Our Context for this half term is 'Will You Read Me A Story?'

Wow Day - Owls

Oh no! Mummy owl has gone missing. We searched for clues and eventually found mummy owl outside in a tree. 🌳 🦉
